CCTV upgrade review planner
Prepare a private equipment review checklist before discussing a CCTV upgrade. No automatic compatibility verdicts or model lookups.
Your entries stay in this browser unless you choose to download or continue to the enquiry form. Do not enter passwords, access codes or personal camera images.
Review checklist only — not a compatibility verdict. A technician must verify exact models, firmware, licences, channel limits, cabling and power before quoting or reusing equipment.

Checklist items
- Record model labels and existing camera locations from accessible positions; do not share passwords.
- Confirm required views, lighting conditions, playback needs and who is authorised to view recordings.
- Technician: verify IP protocols, codecs, resolution, recorder channels, firmware support and PoE power budget; matching brand names alone prove nothing.
- Technician: identify signal format and supported DVR inputs; inspect coax condition, connectors, distance and separate power before reuse.
- Ask a technician to identify the signal type and recorder inputs before selecting replacement equipment.
- Review target detail and field of view on site in relevant light; higher resolution alone does not guarantee identification.
- Agree usable storage, bitrate, recording mode and retention policy; validate actual playback and drive health with a technician.
- Review account ownership, supported secure remote access, updates and permissions; do not expose recorder ports as a shortcut.
