Do not open enclosures, climb, touch wiring, force gates or test emergency exits yourself. Stop if there is heat, damage, water near electrics or unsafe movement; keep clear and request qualified help.

Checklist items
- Arrange an authorised site contact, visitor access and any tenant or building-management permissions.
- Prepare a rough layout, desired coverage and known blind spots. Use a private sketch; images are optional and are not uploaded here.
- Identify accessible equipment locations, existing cable routes and any restrictions without opening cabinets or working at height.
- Discuss privacy-sensitive areas, recording permissions, access ownership, disruption windows and questions for the surveyor.
- Discuss household routines, pets and areas that must not be recorded; arrange safe access without sharing keys or codes here.
- Agree trading hours, customer privacy, staff responsibilities and acceptable disruption with the business owner.
- Arrange site induction, required permits and an escort; only qualified personnel may assess hazardous or restricted zones.
